Andrew P. Prague, CPA, JD, LLM [E-Mail]
After receiving a B.S. in Accountancy from Bentley College, a JD from New England School of Law, and an LLM in Taxation from Boston University, Andrew P. Prague worked as a tax supervisor in the Boston office of Coopers & Lybrand (now PriceWaterhouseCoopers). Andrew founded Prague & Company in the mid 1980's and in addition to having extensive experience in all areas of individual, corporate, partnership, and other types of accounting and tax preparation, Andrew leads the firm's estate planning and probate group. Andrew has also served as an expert witness as part of many forensic accounting engagements. Andrew is admitted as a member of the Massachusetts Bar Association. Licensed as a Certified Public Accountant in both Massachusetts and Connecticut, Andrew is also a member of the American Institute of Certified Public Accountants and Massachusetts Society of Certified Public Accountants. Andrew is also admitted to practice before the United States Tax Court.
Jeffrey D. Rosen, CPA, MST [E-Mail]
Jeff Rosen received both a B.S. in Accountancy and an M.S. in Taxation from Bentley College. Prior to joining Prague & Company in 2000, Jeff worked in private industry for American International Group (AIG). Jeff leads Prague & Company's Timber taxation practice and is instrumental in the operation of the Private Equity & Limited Partnership Administration group. Jeff has extensive experience in the area of non-cash compensation, including ISOs, NSOs, and other forms, as well as all areas of individual taxation. Additionally, Jeff has experience in all areas of partnership taxation, including partner allocation methodologies and multi-state filings, as well as with Real Estate Investment Trusts (REITs). Licensed as a Certified Public Accountant in Massachusetts, Jeff is a member of the Tax Division of the American Institute of Certified Public Accountants and of the Massachusetts Society of Certified Public Accountants.
Vincent J . Macchia, CPA [E-Mail]
Vin Macchia received a B.S. in Accountancy and is a candidate for a M.S. in Taxation from Bentley College . Prior to joining Prague & Company in 2005, Vin worked as a Partnership Tax Supervisor in the Alternative Investments Administration group at Investors Bank & Trust Company (now State Street Bank). Prior to that, Vin worked in the audit and tax departments for a Boston area CPA firm. Vin is instrumental in the operation of the Private Equity & Limited Partnership Administration group, and has experience in all areas of partnership taxation. Vin also has experience in many areas of individual and corporate taxation, as well as audits, reviews, and compilations of financial statements. Licensed as a Certified Public Accountant in Massachusetts, Vin is a member of the American Institute of Certified Public Accountants and of the Massachusetts Society of Certified Public Accountants.
Kathleen T. McGovern, JD [E-Mail]
Kathleen McGovern received a BA from Assumption College and a JD from New England School of Law. Prior to joining Prague & Company in 2006, Kathleen worked with real estate closings and title concerns. Kathleen works in Prague & Company's Estate Planning & Probate group, and has experience with drafting and reading trusts, wills, and all other types of Estate Planning documents, as well as with the filing and administration of probate documents. Kathleen also has experience with the preparation of both individual and trust tax returns. Kathleen was admitted to the Massachusetts Bar Association in 2006. Kathleen is fluent in Spanish.
Nancy A. Aviles [E-Mail]
Nancy Aviles received a B.S. from the University of New Hampshire with concentrations in Mathematics and Business administration and has been with Prague & Company since 1995. Nancy works closely with many of Prague & Company's private equity and venture capital clients and has worked as part of many types of accounting & bookkeeping engagements. Additionally, Nancy has experience with the preparation of individual, tax-exempt, and deferred compensation tax returns, as well as the drafting and filing of incorporation, dissolution, and other legal documents pertaining to corporate and partnership entities. Nancy also works with the Estate Planning & Probate group and has experience with the taxation of trusts and interpretation of wills and other documents.
